A wide copper spear point of Cycladic origin. The blade has a broad, leaf-shaped profile. A wooden shaft mounting mark is visible on the tang, along with elongated attachment holes for binding.
This early copper spearhead predates the widespread adoption of bronze in the Aegean. Pure copper weapons are softer and more prone to bending than bronze, which drove the search for harder alloys.
